"This summer, the Perelada Festival hosts a unique event with a performance of Georg Friedrich Handel's Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno, conducted by William Christie at the head of his iconic ensemble Les Arts Florissants. Composed in 1707, this early oratorio by the young Handel blends the tradition of Italian opera with profound moral reflection, already anticipating the traits that would define his mature artistic career.

Les Arts Florissants, the ensemble founded by Christie in 1979, is renowned for its fidelity to the Baroque style and its extraordinary interpretative sensitivity. This performance is part of William Christie's international tour celebrating his 80th birthday. As part of this celebration, the maestro will receive the Perelada Festival's Medal of Honor in recognition of his exceptional career.
