New production.

After ten years, the Teatro alla Scala presents a new production of Der Ring des Nibelungen with a maestro of absolute eminence in this repertoire, Christian Thielemann, who thus adds his name to a list of giants such as Toscanini, De Sabata , Krauss, Furtwängler, Cluytens, Muti and Barenboim. The direction will be entrusted to David McVicar, an internationally renowned director who has already staged a large repertoire of operas at La Scala, ranging from Cavalli to Berlioz, via Cilea and Verdi. The Tetralogy will be completed in the coming seasons with Die Walküre and Siegfried in 2025, and Götterdämmerung and two complete cycles in 2026.
