A revival of the concert proposed in Geneva in 2023 (which we reported on in our French columns) with a similar cast, with the exception of the two title roles.

"Originally a small opera intended to be performed privately for amusement, adored by his contemporaries, Handel's Acis und Galatea has enjoyed a second life, being reworked and reorchestrated several times. Inspired by Ovid's Metamorphoses, it boldly blends comedy and tragedy and offers a brilliant synthesis of English and Italian styles. Leonardo García-Alarcón leads Cappella Mediterranea from the organ in this music that Mozart himself admired, to the point of making a German version. An exquisite work to celebrate Cappella Mediterranea's 20th anniversary!"
