Description

New production / world premiere.

For one run from May 1 to 9, 2026, the Royal Ballet and Opera, Covent Garden, London, presents three short operas by female composers in its intimate Linbury Theatre, brought together in the triptych Tales of Love and Loss: The Departure (1961) by Elizabeth Maconchy, about the loss of love; Making Arrangements (2012) by Charlotte Bray; and Four Sisters by Elena Langer, the chamber version of which is receiving its world premiere.

This production of Tales of Love and Loss is directed by Talia Stern, with Peggy Wu conducting. The work is performed by the young singers of the London institution's Jette Parker Artists program.
