General Information

Description

"Image creator Jacques Perconte and inventor of incredible sounds Othman Louati reunite for a new joint and intersecting exploration of their worlds around Solaris, one of the most captivating novels of the 20th century. An experience worth living.

Regulars at the Lieu Unique are familiar with the spectacular and immersive images of visual artist Jacques Perconte. Those at Angers Nantes Opéra enjoyed, in 2024, Wings of Desire, the first opera by composer Othman Louati. The two institutions therefore had no choice but to come together to host Solaris, a project by the two artists based on Stanisław Lem's visionary text. A project that allows them to question the consciousness of our relationship to the world, through multiple trajectories: voices, instruments, analog synthesizers, filmed natural landscapes, staged texts, closed-circuit video, and mathematics in motion combine to create a new fusion of the metaphysics into which the fantastic so readily immerses us."

More information is available on the official website of the opera house.
