"Ravel, whom Stravinsky nicknamed "the Swiss watchmaker", created his first lyrical opus at the Opéra-Comique, a musical comedy magnifying the words and mechanics of theater, just before beginning his collaboration with the Ballets Russes. C It is for these that after the war, Stravinsky agreed to draw his inspiration from the theater buffa of Pergolesi: created at the Opera, his ballet Pulcinella inaugurated the neo-classical period of his production.

Louis Langrée, Guillaume Gallienne and Clairemarie Osta combine the performing arts in the service of these two masterpieces inspired by the gallant 18th century, in a show which celebrates the freedom of genres and the fecundity of the comic spirit."
