After a first staging of the work twenty years ago, at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, the emotion of the duo is intact - but the project is different. For this proposal from the Royaumont Foundation, Moshe Leiser and Patrice Caurier start from the piano version written by Debussy and rarely heard since its creation. What they defend: carrying the poet's words through music. Demonstrate, for those who still doubt it, that opera is above all theater.
