How to revive Verdi's early works? In this two-part project, the best musical moments from fifteen operas by the Italian master are brought together to form the framework of a new story. Focused on two years, 1968 and 2008, the story explores the feeling of camaraderie, the tumult of youth, violence, the defense of certain ideals, then their abandonment in favor of comfort. Separated by time, united by their common past and an unsolved mystery, the protagonists try to separate the truth from the falsehood of their memories. Two distinct evenings – Nostalgia and Rivoluzione – which the public will be able to attend in the order they wish, carried by a cast bringing together two generations of singers specializing in Verdian roles.
 
Nostalgia:
2008. An opening in a luxurious art gallery. Among the hand-picked guests, Roberto, Giuseppe and Lorenzo, three long-time friends, reunite after years of separation. Within the installation presented, a documentary containing images of their revolutionary youth is projected. Each of the protagonists remembers an idealized version of this common past. But the shadow of Laura, who disappeared forty years earlier, hangs over the evening...

Rivoluzione:
1968. Growing social tension invades Europe. Three young men belonging to the same boxing club find themselves within a protest movement: Roberto, who works on a shipyard, Giuseppe, a polytechnic student, and Lorenzo, a music student. All three gravitate around Laura, a very committed activist who studies the violin. Little by little, personal conflicts threaten the success of their revolution...
