"This concert pays tribute to one of the deepest and most artistic friendships in the history of Catalan music: that between cellist Pau Casals and soprano Conxita Badia. Despite their generational differences, the two shared a musical and human bond so profound that it marked the course of their lives and many of the works they performed. Casals declared: "When I compose for the female voice, I always think of Conxita's voice," while she said: "My breath is Casals's bow."

Soprano Montserrat Seró and musicians Pau Codina and Marc Heredia invite the audience to discover the soul of this relationship through a carefully selected repertoire, structured in a first part dedicated to works by Enrique Granados and European composers who inspired the summer afternoons they shared. between Badia and Casals, such as Gottfried Heinrich Stölzel, Schubert, Fauré, Strauss, Schumann, and Massenet, and a second part dedicated to the compositions of Conxita Badia herself and Pau Casals.
