Description
New production.
The 2026 Baden-Baden Easter Festival presents a new production of Richard Wagner's Lohengrin, with Joana Mallwitz conducting. Mallwitz "had already developed a strong interest in the composer's work during her time as music director in Nuremberg."
Johannes Erath (former assistant to Willy Decker, who worked at the Semper Oper Dresden and received the Götz-Friedrich Prize and the Austrian Musical Theatre Award) directs this new production. The stage features a stellar cast, including Piotr Beczała as Lohengrin and Rachel Willis-Sørensen as Elsa of Brabant.
