A tribute to the great female composers of the Italian Baroque, this concert features Barbara Strozzi and Antonia Bembo. Trained by Francesco Cavalli, the father of Venetian opera, the two musicians excel in the art of the madrigal, the former in a truly Italian virtuosity, the latter in a concert celebrating the 20th anniversary of Cappella Mediterranea, led by soprano Mariana Flores, an essential soloist of the Baroque repertoire."
