Description

A new production of Rossini's La Cenerentola, entrusted by English National Opera to director Julia Burbach (nominated for the International Opera Awards) and young conductor Yi-Chen Lin.

The heroine, Angelina, is played here by mezzo-soprano Deepa Johnny, and her Prince Charming, Don Ramiro, by tenor Aaron Godfrey-Mayes. Both are making their ENO debuts. Charles Rice sings the role of Dandini, Don Ramiro's valet, and Simon Bailey sings Don Magnifico, Angelina's father-in-law, alongside David Ireland in the role of Alidoro.
