La Phenomena and La Tempête combine to explore, through a form of musical theater, this incredible composition for 10 voices The painting of the mother who stands facing the cross becomes the starting point for a wild adventure: Maëlle Dequiedt takes us on an iconoclastic and transgressive journey through the centuries. Bringing together on stage 4 actors and 10 singer-instrumentalists, she digs into the layers that time has deposited to reveal the theatrical force of the work. Simon-Pierre Bestion freely adapts Scarlatti's score to release the energies contained in the music. Combining instruments from different origins and periods very diverse, this Stabat Mater becomes a sensory and sensitive experience."
