"Reinoud Van Mechelen has a very long history with Bach's music, particularly with the Passions, for which he sang the choruses as a child. Having performed the Evangelist of both Passions on numerous occasions with Philippe Herreweghe and William Christie, the Belgian tenor presents his own vision of this absolute monument that is the St. John Passion at the head of his ensemble A nocte temporis. This will be the first Bach Passion at the Beaune Festival since 2013."
