Revival.

In May and June 2027, the Metropolitan Opera in New York revives Parsifal, Wagner's philosophical meditation recounting the heroic quest of a medieval knight to find the Holy Grail. For this occasion, the New York institution is reviving the production directed by François Girard, which premiered in 2013.

Conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads a cast of Wagnerian stars, including tenor Piotr Beczała in the title role, mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča as the enigmatic Kundry, baritone Peter Mattei as the ailing Amfortas, bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green as the sorcerer Klingsor, and bass Jongmin Park as the wise Gurnemanz.

On June 5, 2027, this production of Parsifal will be broadcast in cinemas worldwide as part of the Met: Live in HD program.

More information is available on the Opera's official website.
