Tehran 2013. Social life is always marked by contradictions. Despite strict bans, a parallel, hidden life animates the Iranian capital. A young generation has succeeded in creating spaces of freedom even though the slightest deviation can lead to brutal intervention by the authorities. This is the world that Shirin finds when she returns to Iran after decades of exile. His reunion with his childhood friends Negar and Aziz revives old memories and the three protagonists find themselves confronted with the question of their own identity. When a passionate romantic relationship finally develops between the three, their meeting also becomes an act of resistance and self-affirmation in a system of oppression and surveillance."
