Lecture-Performance

Between theater and politics, Giuseppe Verdi composed the soundtrack of an Italy in search of unity and emotion. This Verdi Interview takes the form of a lecture-performance conceived and written by Alain Duault, who plays the role of the composer, with Catherine Duault portraying a journalist of the time. Alongside them, six young singers (bass Jean Christophe Fillol, tenor Rino Matafu, sopranos Cécile Lo Bianco and Léa Bianco Chinto, and baritone Thibaut Desplantes), accompanied on piano by Antoine Palloc, perform excerpts from Verdi's major operas, discussed during the interview.
