""From Monteverdi to Piazzola" proposes an encounter through time between the baroque composer Claudio Monteverdi and the Argentinian creator Astor Piazzola. A show by Capella Mediterrània, under the direction of Leonardo García Alarcón, showing how these two musical geniuses addressed fundamental questions such as the night, love, abandonment, war and death. From 17th century Venice to 20th century Buenos Aires, the magic of the bandoneon will guide the audience on a journey in which it will sound from a baroque violin or a lute, to an electric guitar or a cornet, proving that human fears and passions transcend time and that music has been and will be a universal language. a totally baroque idea: bringing emotion and expressiveness to life beyond the particularities of period instruments."
