From June 12 to 16, 2026, the Rouen Normandy Opera Orchestra revives Handel's Agrippina in Robert Carsen's production, which premiered at the Theater an der Wien in March 2016. The production transposes the action of Agrippina to a satirical Italy, between Mussolini's fascism and the antics of contemporary Italian politics. The director offers an interpretation of Handel's opera that takes on the character of a "delicious and jubilant satire of the lust for power."

At the Rouen Normandy Opera Orchestra, the title role is sung by Anna Bonitatibus, while Jake Arditti reprises the role of Nero, as he did in Vienna, alongside Eleonora Bellocci as Poppea.
