"Between dystopia and fantastic tale, the traveling opera Blood of the Glacier delves into the heart of the consequences of climate change: in a contemporary world close to us, the melting of the ice releases red algae which attracts unhealthy tourism to the mountains and which , downstream, contaminate river waters.

The Blood of the Glacier is the story of the reunion of a family disconcerted by events that they no longer control in this great story of climate and humanity; it is the quest for reconciliation between the past and the present, between us and the planet.
A text by Lucie Vérot Solaure inspired by magical realism which, through reality, provides access to a symbolic reading of the link to what surrounds us; a composition by Claire-Mélanie Sinnhuber, keen on the operatic voice and genre; a sensitive and committed production by Angélique Clairand.
An intimate lyrical and musical form with intense poetic resonances, presented at the Théâtre du Point du Jour then traveling throughout the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, particularly in towns on the banks of the Rhône, offering a collective space for dialogue and questions ".
