"At its creation in 1742, Messiah represented something new: an oratorio without drama, a profession of inner faith rather than exuberant pomp. It is in the same spirit that Liberati presents in Beaune, after Switzerland and the Handel Festival in Halle, this Messiah of a new kind. Without a conductor, and supported on the great organ by Benjamin Alard, the fifty musicians of this new ensemble rely only on their confidence and their shared breathing. A unique experience that renews our listening to Handel's masterpiece, not performed in Beaune since 2013."
