For its 2025 edition, the Festival Opus Opéra de Gattières will be staging L'Amico Fritz, a relatively rare work by Pietro Mascagni performed outdoors at Place Grimaldi in Gattières. The opera is newly staged by Jeanne Pansard-Besson and musically conducted by Barbara Dragan. The cast features some promising young performers: tenor Davide Battiniello in the title role opposite Charlotte Bonnet's Suzel, with Ivan Thirion as David and Valentine Lemercier as the musician Beppe.
