"Performed before the King of Spain Philip V, this mythological pastoral is an eminently baroque opera. Its distribution reflects a Spain where, within the theatrical troupes, only women were trained in singing. Its spectacular character, its mixture of tragic and burlesque, its musical richness combining sumptuous choirs, Italian-form arias and popular Spanish songs reveal the genius of Durón, pioneer of opera.

Created in Caen in 2019, the Omar Porras show gives free rein to poetry and the elements."
